Training is one of the most important components of your new point of sale software purchase. You want to be sure that you devote the time it takes to learn the basic components of the software first. Then, continue with your training education to start understanding more complex parts of the software.
A well-trained staff is your organization’s greatest asset. When everyone in your office understands and knows how to use your software to its fullest potential, you can rest assured that you are getting the most out of your investment.
A System Administrator needs to be named for the purpose of preserving the integrity of the data generated by your software users and manage the training of all employees. The System Administrator then becomes the main contact and he/she is the most knowledgeable about the system.
Some of the responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
· Train all employees, current or new on how to use Microsoft software
· Define and set Microsoft point of sale security setting
· Perform system upgrades as needed
· Provide basic help-desk services and technical support for all employees
· Ensure your system is protected from viruses and hackers by upgrading virus protection software and properly configuring your router.
· Monitor the exchange process between multiple store for database updates
· Maintain the systems use of security logins and passwords
· Confirm that a backup is occurring daily
· Verify software entry procedures are being followed
It is imperative that the System Administrator be present for all of the training sessions and that their full attention is focused on your new software.
