Because of our continued growth, we regularly recruit new support technicians and trainers into our company. We are particularly interested in former employees of companies that use RETAIL PRO or former staff members of RETAIL PRO dealers. The successful candidate will have excellent Project management skills. A working knowledge of NT/Windows 2000 and XP platforms will be needed. Must have a service-oriented attitude and ability to rapidly analyze technical situations. Must be capable of working with a team of technicians and service reps in an efficient manner. Will be supporting mission critical systems for small to medium sized independent retail stores and chains. Good people skills and ability to prioritize demands are a must. Retail experience is helpful.

 


Trainer - Microsoft Retail Management Systems / CounterPoint / Retail Pro

The primary duties of this position will be to provide training to end users for Microsoft Retail Management Systems, CounterPoint or Retail Pro. In addition to training customers on the software application, duties include working with other team members, application and process documentation as well as managing other projects. Other tasks include assisting with the department workflow and processes, technical consultation with the sales staff and prospects. Training is primarily provided to customers via telephone or online through a Web application - occasional travel is required to customer sites.

Desired skill (training will be provided for certification):

  • Certification in Microsoft Retail Management Systems, CounterPoint SQL Version 8.xx
        or Retail Pro Version 8.xx.
  • Articulate and effective communication with technical staff and client users
  • Documentation of project activity and status.

    Sales Consultant

    Advanced Retail Management Systems (ARMS) is looking for a full time sales consultant.   The Qualified Candidate will have extensive experience in demonstrating and selling retail point-of-sale systems to small to mid size retailers.  We are specifically looking for a sale consultant who has experience selling one of the leading point-of-sale systems on the market today such as Retail Pro, Microsoft RMS, Counterpoint or other similar software applications.

    Candidates will be selling Island Pacific’s Retail Pro point-of-sale system to small to mid size retailers. Job responsibilities will be to develop new business, maintain prospect database, maintain ongoing follow-up with customers and maintain sales based on monthly and annual goals. The right person will be detail oriented and have strong closing skills in the sales process. Minimal travel required - 90% of all business is conducted long distance using web-based conferences. Marketing and lead follow-up are provided by our Marketing Department.
